The Irish Consulate contacted us recently about performers Dewi Garmon Jones and Maire Carroll coming to Vancouver. Both are very talented professional musicians and perform throughout Europe. With the support of the Irish Consulate, we are hosting an informal afternoon together with the Irish in the Red Dragon. There will be a performance by Dewi and Maire during the afternoon, the bar will be open and finger food will be available. Click on poster for more details.

Wednesday, February 12th at 12 noon Cambrian Bookworms
The book this month is “The Lightkeeper’s Daughters” by Jean E. Pendziwol.
Saturday, February 15th at 11:30 am Annual General Meeting
Board members for 2019 will be selected. The event will include a delicious lunch and there will be an interesting afternoon about the Welsh in Patagonia.

Saturday, February 22nd at 7:00 pm Pig ‘n’ Whistle
The Vancouver Orpheus Choir will hold their evening fundraiser of music and comedy in the Hall. Admission $25. All are welcome. Come along and join in the fun. Tickets from Alcwyn Rogers by phone (604 742-1378) or email Alcwyn@shaw.ca.

The usual delicious lunch will be served.
Saturday, February 29th St. David’s Day Dinner
The celebration will be held at the Cambrian Hall and the doors will be open at 6 pm, the dinner will be served at 7 pm. This will be an evening of delightful food and entertainment. The dinner will be catered by Just Right Caterers the charge being $45 pp, and the entertainment will be by Leanne Page, harpist.

Sunday, March 1st St. David’s Day Open House
This will be held at the Red Dragon and will a include druids ceremony, entertainment, much singing and cawl cennin/leek soup. The doors will be open at 2:00 pm and and the entertainment commence at 3:00 pm. It is expected that the event will carry on into the evening.
